This device is capable of converting RS232 to RS-485 by extending the maximum distance to 1.2km !. Passive, it does not require an external power supply (it uses the RS-232 interface to supply power).
The internal circuit controls the direction of data flows. Interface compatible with EIA / TIA RS-232C and RS-485 standards.
RS-232 side: female DB9 type connector.
RS-485 side: DB9 Male connector with additional connection plate for wire-to-wire connections. Works in modes: Asynchronous / Half Duplex / Differential Transmission
Transmission by 'twisted pair' or 'shielded twisted pair' (STP) cables. Transfer speed from 300 to 115,200 bps. Signals: RS232C: TXD, RXD, RTS, CTS, DTR, DSR, DCD, GND / RS485: D + / A, D- / B, GND, + 5V- + 12V. Maximum transmission distance 1200m (RS-485) and 5m (RS-232). Dimensions: 95mm x 33mm x 17mm
